REINTERPRETING THE 21ST CENTURY
Interior design firm creates unique and timeless spaces

Whether designing the interiors of luxury fashion stores, boutique hotels, high-rise residences, or a Fortune 500 corporation, Garde Co., Ltd. always strives to deliver the special Japanese design aesthetic that has appealed to its clients for almost 30 years.

Garde, an international branding and design company, focuses on the creation of original, timeless spaces. Based in Tokyo, the organization has offices in Osaka, Hong Kong, Singapore, Milan, Paris, New York, and Los Angeles.

Garde offers services in many sectors including offices, retail areas, residences, hospitality quarters, food & beverage concerns, entertainment areas, public spaces, as well as mixed-use facilities.

After an extensive eight-year renovation, the Hankyu Department Store in Umeda, Osaka, opened in November 2012 featuring Garde’s interior design.

Garde was responsible for the interior design of eleven floors (B1–9F and 11F), as well as the design of the façade, encompassing over 80,000 square meters of floor area.

The new Hankyu Elegance style can be defined as a modern interpretation of the 21st century, represented by motifs of sky, earth and life—essential elements in the natural world.

The style pursues the beauty of nature as a modern comfort that simplifies the shopping experience without extravagant extras.
